The E-Invite card says 5:30-7:30 but it’s actually open till 9pm.

Show is Installed!

Yesterday, Traci and I picked up the images from Thompson’s Frame and Gallery off of Mission and 47th next to Oklahoma Joe’s BBQ, which by the way, if you have never had OKJoes you have to go. We carted the images over to the Urban Living Center and began unpacking them from the containers and we were amazed at the quality. Great stuff, and we are super excited about the show tonight!

The ULC is a little unique for a gallery show as one wall is all brick. Fortunately, there have been many shows before us so we were able to utilize the wall screws that were already installed. No muss, no fuss! We did have to make a short trip down to the local Ace to get some S hooks, beyond that it was smooth sailing and we finished installing the show in a few hours.

The show looks great and we should add all the finishing touches for tonight’s event this afternoon after picking up my fresh off the letter press business cards. I took a peek at them yesterday and they look amazing! Michelle at Two Tone Press has done the impossible and turned a two week job around in less than 4 days and they look incredible. Kudos to Michelle for turning that for us on such short notice!

UPDATE ON WEATHER!! Just looked at the weather.com forecast and there looks to be a 3 hour window between 5:30-8:30pm with no rain so that would be a perfect time to come out!

We hope all of you can make it out tonight. The forcast for today is thunderstorms, and for once the weatherman was right… at least so far. We just had a huge rainstorm roll through but now its calm and quiet again and the sun is beginning to break through the clouds. Hopefully that ends the storms for today! We’re banking on the storms doing there thing today and moving out by the afternoon which would make tonights event absolutely glorious!

There will be hors d’oeuvres and drinks available, but if tonight is anything like most First Friday events, they won’t last long, so come out early and enjoy the show, the weather, and get some snacky snacks.
