Valentines Shoot For the Troops

This weekend will be an exciting and inspirational time as I participate in the Valentines Shoot For The Troops at Fort Leavenworth Kansas. Led by photo representative and creative management specialist Jax Harrison of Biscuit Eight of Kansas City, this event will be huge with a great group of big time sponsors backing them up including Livebooks, Pictage, AMC Theatres, and Flight Center. I met Jax several months ago while presenting my portfolio and have really enjoyed getting to know her. Jax was more than happy to meet with me and I truly appreciate all the time she has given out of her busy schedule. She’s a real jem.

Biscuit Eight is using their fantastic photo talent to a good cause – putting a face to the families who are still struggling with being at war, by taking some great portraits for them to send to their missing loved ones overseas for Valentines Day.

I was excited when Jax asked me to be a part of this wonderful opportunity. We have family that are still serving overseas so this is something that I feel especially privileged to be a part of. In fact one of the goals I had this year for my business was to get more involved in helping others with the talent God has given me… this is a welcomed opportunity to do just that.

This will be  a two day shoot and I believe you should be able to view some of the event pictures at the B8 website sponsored by Livebooks as well as checking up on all the sponsors websites for this event. Maybe, I can share a few behind the scenes images from the weekend with all of you, but we’ll see how that goes. I will however, share my experience in a follow up post after the weekend, so check back to see how it all went.

Cheers!
Chad
